Lachine-Dorval Running Club
We are a non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage physical activity and running among all, regardless of age or physical condition.

Our Mission
Our mission goes far beyond simply practicing sports: we seek to inspire everyone to adopt an active lifestyle, by providing a platform where everyone, regardless of age, fitness level or abilities, can participate and thrive. We therefore wish to offer an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of their physical abilities or level of training, can progress at their own pace.
The Lachine-Dorval Running Club is an organization that encourages everyone to choose to become active while being surrounded by a caring community motivated to progress together, no matter the starting point. Join us and come support our community and celebrate small and big successes. Together, let’s commit to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle for all.
Our Philosophy
We firmly believe that sport, and running in particular, should be accessible to everyone. Whether you are a beginner or a professional or semi-professional athlete, our goal is to create a united community in which every member, of all ages, can progress. It is a way of emphasizing that sport is not only about performance, but also about fun, camaraderie and surpassing oneself.
Our Objective
We want to break down barriers related to age, disability and fitness. We encourage perseverance, mutual aid and the pleasure of surpassing oneself, while cultivating a spirit of inclusion and mutual respect. Whether you are in good shape, in rehabilitation, or disabled, we set up adapted activities so that each individual can fully participate in our events.
Events
Lachine Half Marathon
The Lachine-Dorval Running Club is proud to be the organizer of the Lachine Half Marathon since 2012. On the edge of the Lachine Canal National Historic Site, this event is an opportunity to showcase the beauty of the neighbourhood and its many green spaces along the St. Lawrence River. The goal of this sporting event is to raise funds for our three partner causes, including the Alzheimer Society of Montreal, SPCA Montreal and Mission 1000 Tonnes.
Walk For Alzheimer's
This event organized by the Alzheimer Society of Montreal raises funds to support this organization in achieving its objectives: to contribute to alleviating the social and personal consequences of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurocognitive disorders by offering cutting-edge interventions, care, and support services that have a positive long-term impact.
